Granted, because this is the first in the franchise, the mechanics will feel basic, but you can see the influence and potential it pushed forward into later entries.Īs mentioned, you play as Samanosuke Akechi, a fictional character who is the nephew of the real historical figure, Akechi Mitsuhide. After such a long dry spell, we’re able to jump back into the shoes of Samanosuke Akechi and play through what kicked off this demon-slaying adventure. Well Capcom might be testing the waters with their remaster of the first game, Warlords, that launched early in the PlayStation 2’s life cycle. The PlayStation 2 generation gave us some of the most exciting gaming franchises, at least overlooking Nintendo’s lengthy history.
